Premier Event Photography | Emporium Hotel South Bank
We really are spoiled for choice when it comes to amazing event venues in Brisbane. One of my favourite places to photograph events is the gorgeous Emporium Hotel in South Brisbane.
This sparkly venue has so much to offer and I’m always thrilled with the results from every event I cover there.
From the moment you enter the ground floor foyer you are met with the semi spiral staircase which makes a great spot for large group photos. The stairs lead up to the first floor foyer which is quite possibly my favourite area to capture candid photos in any Brisbane hotel. The red panelling on the walls just pops in photos and the urban backdrop through the giant glass panelling allows for a quick change of background.
I’ve photographed the Frangipani Ballroom in several different configurations and it has looked gorgeous every time. There are no pillars in the room, making photography vantage points from any part of the room no issue.
The images in this gallery were taken at a recent roadshow for Hawaii Tourism Oceania. Their event took place in the first floor foyer and the Frangipani Ballroom, with part of the ballroom sectioned off for presentations and a very fun hula lesson!
The overall photography brief on this job was to show everyone having a great time, which meant capturing a lot of interaction with exhibitors and guests. As well as the candid moments, it was important for the client that I provide them with a lot of group photos and the guests enjoying the presentations.
