We really are spoiled for choice when it comes to amazing event venues in Brisbane. One of my favourite places to photograph events is the gorgeous Emporium Hotel at South Bank.

When it comes to Brisbane venues, there’s one I’ve come to know particularly well. Over the past several years, I’ve photographed more events at BCEC than anywhere else in our lovely city.

Whilst the majority of my work is corporate, I also get to photograph a lot of private events, including one of my favourites, engagement parties.

When your corporate client tells you they and their team think of you as the best conference photographer in Australia, you know you’re doing something right.

From the moment I was gifted a delicious pita wrap on arrival to photograph the opening of Zeus Street Greek’s new store at Windsor, I knew this event was going to be a good one.

Birthdays have a way of sneaking up on us and then flying by in a whirlwind of laughter, cake crumbs and warm embraces. When it’s all over, what remains - besides perhaps a few stray balloons and an uneaten slice of cake - are the memories.

Every so often, an event comes along that is pure perfection to photograph. I recently worked with the delightful team at SBS on the Brisbane stop of their 2024 Upfront series, at The Refinery Newstead.

The OHS Leaders Summit took place over two days at Sofitel Brisbane Central and included a breakfast event, plenary and breakout sessions, concluding with networking drinks all photographed by yours truly.
