Michelle & Daniel | Engagement Party Photography | Brisbane
While most of my work is corporate, I’m also lucky enough to photograph a lot of private events, including getting to capture the fun and love for newly engaged couples.
In a previous life (well, about ten or so years ago), I spent a few years photographing weddings around Byron Bay. I still enjoy balancing my time in the corporate world to celebrate love with couples and their favourite people.
Earlier in the year I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon at The Calile in New Farm celebrating Michelle and Daniel with their loved ones. I approach every event I photograph (both corporate and private) as a story that I get to capture, and this engagement party had me absolutely spoiled for choice.
Michelle and Daniel’s celebration took place in the beautiful, light filled Terrace space at The Calile which is just begging to be photographed. I got started half an hour before the guests arrived to photograph all the pretty details in the room and get some shots of the lovely couple together.
After that it was all about fun and celebration. My favourite thing about this day was capturing all the love and laughter in the room. From the emotion of M&D’s guests as they entered the room, to Michelle’s Dad’s beautiful speech and the fierce competitiveness in the ring hunt game!
This was a such beautiful day and I’m so grateful Michelle and Daniel chose me to photograph it for them.
