CACC Cocktail Event | Brisbane Business Event Photography
Last week I photographed a lovely event for the Canadian Australian Chamber of Commerce (CACC) at The Grove Rooftop in Brisbane‘s CBD.
My client’s brief was specific. They needed a photographer who could capture everything required within an hour, unobtrusively and quietly, and without the use of flash.
Having recently upgraded my gear to the Canon mirrorless system, capturing the images silently was no issue. (More on these amazing cameras coming up in another blog post - they’re an absolute game changer.)
While a bit of on-camera flash would have come in handy to add a pop of contrast, the venue’s floor to ceiling windows provided ample natural light to work with easily and contrast was added to the images later when editing.
Each speech went for five minutes which allowed me to capture the speakers from all the angles and gave me enough time to try a few creative view points as well.
In one hour of coverage, along with the formalities, I was able to capture a good amount of candid images to provide my lovely client with a collection of 138 photos for use on social media, LinkedIn and to promote their future events.
