Events at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre | BCEC
When it comes to Brisbane venues, there’s one I’ve come to know particularly well. Over the past several years, I’ve photographed more events at BCEC than anywhere else in our lovely city.
From a multitude of conferences and expos; annual scientific meetings, gala balls for football teams and awards presentations for financial institutions, I’ve covered a huge variety of events at this epic venue. Sometimes on my own and, when needed, with an additional photographer or two.
I’ve zipped from room to room while capturing simultaneous breakout sessions on the Mezzanine level, have covered some truly incredible keynote speeches in the Plaza Auditorium and have been known to dive in to capture ‘the shot’ in the middle of a cranking dance floor in the Plaza Ballroom.
I’ve lost count of the number of amazing expos I’ve been lucky enough to photograph in the exhibition halls and will never tire of trying to capture the perfect city scape sunset shot from the Sky Terrace during networking events.
One of my favourite things about working at BCEC is seeing the spaces come to life when set up for each event.
